Spica Class The Spica Class freighter is the oldest cargo ship still produced. 2160 saw the Mk I a small, underpowered clattertrap. While it carries the latest technology in power systems, metal alloys, and expansion capabilities, it employs outdated engines. These are so bulky that a large amount of the ship's systems protrude from its top. This leaves it very vulnerable to an attack on that side. Many individuals replace the engines with a variety of improved models, but Spica Transportation, Inc. is reluctant to incorporate any of these choices into stock production models. The Spica Class is quickly losing popularity for this reason.
